A special post and Merry go round

WOUW this is my 260th blog post and to celebrate that I´ll do a give away…..   I never thought I would have so much fun with blogging. Thank you all for your comments in the past and hopefully also in the future!! More info about the give – away at the bottom of this post.
First let me tell you about The Merry go round group it is a group of artists/crafts-women as they link hands around the world and tell you a little about their lives and art. We are group of 11 women from all over the world.
This last friday of this month the theme is` Share a  photo that affects you  someway`
I love making pictures, I think  I use my camera everyday.. so I descide to stick to a picture I made myself. Terrible diffycult to choose just one but here it is:
viltalakim, aquilegia, akelei
I really love this flower (Aquilegia ) as it is a sign summer is coming. This one is really special as it has a double layer of petals and all the ribbles in it, a little piece of art, just like many other flowers and plants are.. I can get inspired to make felt with a structure like this.
Please see which picture my other merriers have chosen.

The flower is very pretty, so is the picture and so is your belt :) . I can see a direct link between your love of flora and felting

Very pretty!
It’s hard to price something you don’t make yourself…but I’d pay between 30-35$ for it

Nathalie | May 27, 2011 at 8:35 pm

And I have liked your FB page ^_^

riet baird | May 27, 2011 at 9:01 pm

Mitsy/ArtMind | May 27, 2011 at 10:09 pm

I love your picture – nature is so pretty with it’s perfect repetition and simple clean beauty!
I’ve never seen this flower before but I’ll look out for it next spring!
Congrats on your many blogposts, Kim! Isn’t blogging fun? :)

The layers are beautiful…like a pretty dress! Great choice for spring inspiration.

Mariana | May 28, 2011 at 8:48 am

What a great aquilegia. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a full one. Even our doubles aren’t like this. It’s a gorgeous photo and such a soft pink.

Maren | May 28, 2011 at 11:45 am

hoi Kim,

lucieTales | May 28, 2011 at 12:39 pm

That’s a beautiful double aquilegia! I have some in my garden too, but not this kind, some dust pink and some purple too, I love them, there are kind of granny flowers, like an antique women’s bonnet :)

Your give away is lovely, I like the white thread that comes over like the end of a wave, I don’t know the english word for it, in french it’s écume ;-) and about the price, I’m no good at that game, but I would say around 30 or 40€

jacksknits | May 28, 2011 at 1:37 pm

Gorgeous belt,I would be proud to win and wear it.
I would pay £20 +

Libby White | May 28, 2011 at 8:48 pm

I love columbines too esp. the doubles. I think Carla Bartow is my favorite. The belt is beautiful, I would pay around $25-$30 for it. Great spring color. Will post this on my blog too,

That is one amazing flower. Nature has so much imagination— truly inspiring!

Nancy Wilson | May 29, 2011 at 11:53 am

This is such a nice belt. I think I would easily pay 25€ for such a lovely item. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!

Felty T | May 29, 2011 at 2:34 pm

That photo is beautiful! So delicate, prettier than any dress mankind could make.

Your belt is lovely too :) I think you could value it at least $30, probably $35.

what a beautiful flower!

terriea | June 3, 2011 at 6:19 am

This kind of flower looks like ballet dancers holding their hands up and close together. So pretty !
The belt is chic and the color is so soft. The winner must be proud to put it on. Thanks for your comment on my felted pictures. The pods are of Bauhinia – our typical “Flower of the City”. I think the flower names are Latin.
