More felt for my bike

I really got inspired by the seat cover for my bike and thought my bike could do with some more felt. So yesterday evening I started with felting a next piece for my bike…  and continued working on it today in daylight.

after I was done with felting

I added a hemp rope into the openings and pulled it tight so it looked like this:

I think I’ll go and buy some foam to fill underneath so when I am having one of my daughters sitting there they will sit more cozy :) Although Janna didn’t complain when she was siting upon it earlier this day…

Enjoy your Saturday!! Til tomorrow my bike part 3.

The Merry go round group it is a group of artists/crafts-women as they link hands around the world and tell you a little about their lives and art. We are group of 11 women from all over the world.

This days topic is let you inspire to create something by someone else’s picture from the May post.  I got this inspiration picture taken by Jen from painted fish studio.” This picture of a bike locked to a canal bridge… this one captures what Amsterdam is to me. “

amsterdam : bike on pastoorsbrug, brouwersgracht & keizersgracht

First I wanted to felt a lock, as when you don’t have a good lock (or two) on your bike in Amsterdam, you can bet it will be gone… but as I didn’t had enough time anymore so I started felting this last evening:

When I finished it I took pictures, but I think the memory card wasn’t inside the camera  :(   (Yes happens to me too, hihihi) unfortunately I cannot show it how it ended up while being flat.. But here is the result..

I made a bike seat cover… The openings I made are for a little rope to go though and I pulled it under the seat… And I felted it on the seat .  Now just hope I felted it so hard the rain will not get in…
