It is week 7 but Tuesday again to show off my stitch of week 6… The Chevron stitch.
I will show you some pictures of the process and of course the result :) Happy Valentine day today!!
It is Tuesday again!! My result of the Take A Tuesday Stitch of week 5 is ready to be shown here. Last week the name of the stitch was Herringbone stitch. Looks like crosses and I cannot recall I did this stitch ever before, But it was fun again.
I used a self made wetfelted cuff in reds and added the stitch with2 different 3 ply-embroidery thread to it. the only mistake I made was in the name.. I thought it was herrington, hihihi changed the “ T” in a “B” and added an “E” and voila it was herringbone again
Starting with the inside outside …..

Wishing you a wonderful Tuesday!! Oh and I have finished a new felted hat… will show it on Thursday as I don’t have proper light here on Wednesday.. will be at my work all day and back at home when it is already dark…
Another Work In Progress of my felted cuffs with the embroidery stitch called Herringbone stitch of the TAST project. As I decided to make a sampler cuff from every stitch. The cuff- bracelet is my testpiece for the stitch. I didn’t tried this stitch out on some woven fabric, but I started straight away on the felt. I wanted to stitch evenly, using the colors as a guideline. ( I think you cannot tell anymore, but there were 4 `lines` of different reds) That’s why my stitches ain’t even along both sides…
So here a sneak preview of my not jet finished cuff
Front side:
Wishing you a very nice Sunday. I’ll be felting again finally , jippie!!
I am really enjoying the TAST project lately (must be obvious for you, isn’t it?) And when I was driving home last week I decided to visit a shop I discoveredsome years ago. They produce their own threads, for embroidery, weaving, knitting etc. And are shipping this worldwide from that small village here in Limburg. They are called Venne-Colcoton
This is the fantasy threads they have. But it is not standard in their collection I think every time I come there the color combinations are differently… and this time I couldn’t resist these 3. And lucky for me my mind let me down. These 3 weren’t in my collection jet.
enjoy your Friday I’ll be working at school this evening and tomorrow having an open house.. Citaverde College Heerlen
Last week I made 4 bracelets so I had a dry bracelet to do the new embroidery stitch on .. So plenty of time to think of how to use the stitch. Stitch no 4 is the cretan stitch. Hope I understood it correctly ….
Here a two pictures of what I started with..
The result will be shown here on Tuesday
Happy Saturday!
